Hi there, I am Jennifer, the creative & operating partner, floral designer, holiday decorator & event entertainment coordinator. I ran a giftshop & did floral design for an industry professional from age 19 to 28. During that time, I studied in Almere, a suburb of Amsterdam, Holland under amazing talents from all over Europe! It was a highlight of my career & I believe set the tone for my distinctive work & true creative mindset! I began working on my own at age 30- taking care of multiple clients & businesses daily, weekly & creating for special events including wedding weekends!

I was chosen to do the florals in Montgomery, Alabama for the newly built & decorated home & cast/crew party of Extreme Home Makeover in February 2009. My crew and I also had the cool & huge privilege, in 2012, 2013 & 2014, of designing for the VIP suites & AT&T suites at the Kentucky Oaks & Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs! I designed each look, it was approved by a committee, we made the trip to Kentucky & we brought all the arrangements to life within 4 days & nights! 1000’s of pink & red roses along with other blooms were used to create 900+ arrangements!

As far as my designing - I strive to be uniquely creative in each project I am chosen to be involved with! I have never in all these years of serving my clients ever repeated a look exactly! It is my pleasure to come up with new exciting looks for each person I meet with! I love what I am privileged to do- my motto is passionately live & create- I promise you this is what you will receive if I am chosen to bring your event to life!!!

Anderson was born and raised in Camden, AL and has family dating back generations there and in Gee’s Bend. The museum honors her foremothers and -fathers who lived in Camden and Gee’s Bend and began some of the first black-owned businesses and co-ops in those places. The Shoe Shop and Quilt Museum is located inside the former Shoe Shop business started by Joe Anderson (Anderson’s father) and has many quilts dating from 1880s-2011 including those made by master quilters, Minder Coleman (Anderson’s grandmother) and Marie Coleman Anderson (Anderson’s mother) who made the “911 Quilt.”

Anderson, an artist in her own right, founded The Shoe Shop and Quilt Museum of Camden, Alabama in 2007. Visitors to the museum will have the opportunity to see an array of historical documents, equipment, tools, furniture, artwork, photographs and crafts dating back to the 1800s. Visitors have the opportunity to hear stories of life and regional culture from Anderson on guided tours. The museum is walking distance from historic downtown Camden where Anderson also occasionally provides walking tours.

For over 25 years, Jill has worked with young children and youth in art, music, and drama through her small business Music Makers. She is a trained singer, voiceover artist, and actress A self proclaimed “Jill of many trades” grounded in teaching, with extensions into visual arts, acting, baking, and songwriting. Jill’s business path began in 2001 with teaching music classes after school that later expanded into a thriving enrichment experience for after school students of all ages throughout the year.

Her artwork flows between painting and printmaking known for her intaglio etchings featuring historic landmarks often combined with nostalgic images inspired by mid 19th century photographs. In 2019 she and her husband James Little opened Filter Coffee Parlor in the heart of Birmingham Alabama’s historic Five Points South district. During that time, Delta Dawn Scones and the Little Ruby Cookie were created by Jill and quickly became a favorite for customers. In 2024 they sold their beloved shop following a nudge to move to both their deep family roots. Now living in Greenville Alabama she is building arts outreach for all ages across Butler county through her businesses and non profit MuseALABAMA.

For Jill, making something out of anything is what she learned from her mother along with a zest for business from her father. “They both told me I could do anything I wanted to in life and I believed them.”
